In preparation of impending bond issuances for Proposition O and Measure DD, staff developed a prioritization list for approval. Projects are in alignment with the Proposition O and Measure DD ballot language and the 2018 Site Master Plans.

In developing the list, staff incorporated the following actions:

1)   Direction from board of trustees on the December 13, 2021, Capital Improvement Program (CIP) for the design of stadiums at Castle Park High School, Chula Vista High School, Mar Vista High School, and Southwest High School.

2) Project identification reflecting district-wide regional representation.

Project identification included board direction, utilization of the 2018 Master Plan, and updating the project priority rubric to reflect work completed from previous bond sales. This process permits staff to resume program implementation after a four-year hiatus due to district circumstances.

Staff will bring forward project funding requests on future CIP reports. Projects are contingent upon future bond funding.

This Board Agenda Item supports LCAP Goal 4, coherent and transparent systems, because it provides information regarding future projects and budgets.
