Issue:

Board’s superintendent search process.

Superintendent's Recommendation:

On the recommendation of the board president, approve Service Agreement to utilize the services of the San Diego County Office of Education to conduct a superintendent search.

Analysis:

Consistent with Board Policy 2120, the board will be conducting a process for its selection of a new superintendent.  The San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE) has offered to assist the Sweetwater Union High School District’s Board of Trustees with the board’s search for a superintendent. These services include coordinating stakeholder engagement, candidate recruitment, and interview process. After the process, the board will select a superintendent candidate. The process is set to occur between February and April 2021.  These services are offered at no cost to the district.  

 

This Board Agenda Item supports LCAP Goal 4, coherent and transparent systems, because it provides information for the community regarding a superintendent search process.
