Consistent with Board Policy 2120, the board is conducting a process for its selection of a new superintendent.  The San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE) is assisting the Sweetwater Union High School District’s Board of Trustees with the board’s search for a superintendent. 

On February 9, 2021, the SDCOE gave a presentation to the board on the process and timeline for the superintendent search.  From February 16-26, 2021, stakeholder feedback sessions were held, including a community forum in both English and Spanish.  A community feedback survey was also available on the district website for stakeholders to provide input.

This presentation and discussion will provide updates on the feedback received from the community, the current phase of the superintendent search timeline, and next steps.

This Board Agenda Item supports LCAP Goal 4, coherent and transparent systems, because it provides information for the community regarding a superintendent search process.
