Public Communication on Non-Agenda Items - The public can attend the meeting in-person and address the board by completing a Request for Oral Communication at the meeting.

 

Pursuant to Board Bylaw, the board may limit the time for public comments on any single topic to 20 minutes per topic.  The board may also adjust the order of the agenda and hear public comments on non-agenda items at any time during the meeting in order to ensure that the business of the board is conducted in an efficient and effective manner.  Any such changes will be made at the time of the meeting and the public will be notified at that time.

9.Authorize acceptance of grant funding for 7-12 programs.
G.Instructional Support Services Discussion Items
1.Approve Borderlan Barracuda Essentials Email Security Gateway software licenses and authorize the superintendent or designee to sign all related documents.
2.Approve one-year agreement with Incident IQ, LLC, for the purchase of Incident IQ Assets inventory management system, and authorize the superintendent or designee to sign the corresponding documents.
3.Approve the Consolidated Application (ConApp) Spring Report, for the 2023-2024 school year.
4.Renew the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Sweetwater Union High School District and the San Diego County Office of Education regarding data sharing services with the National Student Clearinghouse for the 2023 through the 2028 school year.
5.Approve/ratify Pathful, Inc., aka Nepris Agreement with the Sweetwater Union High School District (SUHSD) to provide high schools’ teachers and students access to cloud-based careers and exposure to professionals, during the 2023-2024 school year.
6.Approve/ratify the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Sweetwater Union High School District and the High Tech High Graduate School of Education to participate in the CARPE Network to increase college enrollment for Sweetwater students, for 2023-2025.
7.* Report on the College and Career Access Pathways Grants for the Sweetwater Union High School District that will be in effect during the 2022-2023, 2023-2024, 2024-2025, 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 school years.
8.Approve/ratify Participation Agreement between the Project Lead The Way (PLTW) – Contract Participation Confirmation and the Sweetwater Union High School District (SUHSD), for the 2023-2024 school year with automatic renewal from year to year.
9.Approve the Memorandum of Agreement between Ocean Connectors, A Project of the Ocean Foundation, and the Sweetwater Union High School District, to provide STEM-aligned, shark-themed presentations for seventh grade students, for the 2023-2024 school year.
10.Approve/ratify the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Fredericka Manor and Care Center and the Sweetwater Union High School District (SUHSD) for students to shadow professionals at service organizations in the community, for the 2023-2024 school year.
11.Approve attendance of 100 parents to the 28th Annual California Association for Bilingual Education (CABE) Mini-Conference on November 4, 2023.  
12.Approve attendance of 80 parents to the 9th Annual FERIA Partnership Conference on October 21, 2023.
13.Accept regular, state-mandated Williams vs. The State of California quarterly report to the board of trustees (Williams vs. The State of California: SB6, SB550, SB1550, AB2727, AB3001).
H.Student Services Discussion Items
1.Approve the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the 2023-2024 school year, between the San Ysidro School District, and the Sweetwater Union High School District (SUHSD), for participation in the Sweetwater Middle School Sports (Athletic) League.
2.Approve the amendment in funding source for the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between WestEd and the Sweetwater Union High School District (SUHSD), for the administration of the California School Climate, Health, and Learning Surveys.
3.Approve/ratify the agreement with Fam X, Inc., dba Aktivate Software, formerly RegisterMyAthlete.com, and authorize the superintendent and/or his designee to sign all related documents.
4.Approve/ratify the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the County of San Diego (County) by and through its Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA), Child and Family Well-being Services (CFWS), San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE) and the Sweetwater Union High School District (SUHSD), for the Fostering Academic Success in Education (FASE) program.
5.Approve the following Student Matters Pursuant to Education Code Sections 49073-49079: Expulsion of the Students in Case(s) #67, #68, #69, #70.
6.Authorize staff to finalize negotiation and execute agreement between Hudl and the Sweetwater Union High School District, to prepare site-based order forms for site’s individual use to order additional services.
7.Approve/ratify and authorize staff to negotiate and enter into contracts/agreements with additional certified non-public, non-sectarian schools and agency services for the remainder of the 2023-2024 school year, for students with disabilities who require these services according to their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
8.Approve/ratify the Facility Use Application with Southwestern Community College for the use of the Pools for the Sweetwater Union High School District schools, for the 2023-2024 school year, and authorize the superintendent and/or his designee to sign all related documents.
9.Approve the Memorandum of Understanding between the Sweetwater Union High School District and the Urban League of San Diego County to Implement the Project Ready San Diego Program.
10.Approve/ratify the Facility Use Application with the City of National City for the use of the pool for the Sweetwater Union High School District schools, for the 2023-2024 school year, and authorize the superintendent and/or his designee to sign all related documents.
